2024/25 Iliman Ndiaye

Happy for him that he can now work towards his actual target of first goal at the new stadium.

“It's funny because someone said to me, ‘Imagine you scoring the first goal at the new stadium’. It would be a quiz question for so long, ‘Who scored the first goal for Everton at the new stadium?’. At that moment, my daughter, who can’t really talk yet, said, ‘Dada’! Great answer! That’s my target."

Nah mirallas on his day was an outstanding player
They are very different players. Mirallas had a very high ceiling but wasn't consistent. But he did scored some unreal goals and put into top class performances against the best in the division. NDiaye has produced a top class season in a very average team. Apart from his penalties all of his goals have been absolute bangers that very few players would have scored. If Piennar had his goals or he had Piennar's general play/assists you're looking at a generational player. Properly coached he could be a world class player. His touch and technique are next level. Just needs more assists/creativity but hard to judge in our team.

I’d add that I’d like to see him at times shoot first on instinct and go less for the assists. I think he left a couple of chances at goals on the pitch this year choosing the assist. Again, he’s my favourite player. Just would like to see more of a killer instinct shoot first more often approach.

He looked lost for a few games previously. Maybe not fully fit. I really like him and you’re right enough this is still a poor team but he has gone missing a few times (along with everyone else) Hopefully with a better team next season he really kicks on.

Southampton were absolutely terrible as well mind you.

Agreed but his goals against Ipswich, City, Spurs, Leicester and the first one today were absolutely top class. They're basically goals which are close to zero xG when he gets the ball. He also puts in a shift defensively. It's ultimately a team game and any player would struggle on our team from time to time.

He's just adapting to his 1st season in the Prem in what was a very testing time especially under Dycheball.

His injury was a choker and only now we are starting to see the gifted footballer he is.
Said it in the match thread his 1st today was quality , but the 2nd was Top draw .
The way he shimmys then switches feet totally deceives the keeper then slots it.
Delightful to watch.

Clearly our best “footballer” by a considerable distance. Hasn’t looked fit the last few weeks but what also won’t help is he’s constantly doubled up on.

Get into the summer, get a proper 10 in & another pacey winger he gets less attention.

Brilliant today, first goal was a great finish.

The lad has tremendous ability on the ball. His downfall is there’s been games where he’s been completely missing for the majority of the game. If he can find more consistency then he’ll go on to be a top top player for us.
