What an emotional roller coaster of a day.
Spent it with my dad doing what we first went to do together more than 50yrs ago. Every week he took me from then until I had kids of my own and it was their turn.
We've laughed, sang, cried, hugged and cheered together all day like we were both kids again.
Nothing else can give us that.
Nothing else but Everton.

Gonna miss that old place

They'd nigh on run out of ale in the Gwladys before the first half had ended. To be fair, a LOT was drunk in the hour or so before kick off and from 30 mins.

The violin and lone trumpet z Cars was very good and bought a tear to my eye, the stuff with the players was ok but the busker and band didn’t come across well on telly , sound quality was rubbish.One notable absence , Wonder where Kevin Ratcliffe was? our most successful captain.

It's a watershed. I love BMD, and I sincerely hope we make amazing memories there. However, nothing will ever replace Goodison - nothing can.

It hasn't really sunk in yet that I'll never be going back there with the people who have become friends, and it's now only memories.
