I dont understand how anyone can watch the match today and NOT want him in the squad next season. Imagine having a top striker, and having Beto if he gets injured, or you need a sub, or you want to play with 2 up top. Absolute luxury we havent had. He worked hard, finished well, just beaten by the offsides flag. The difference between him and Dom today seemed night and day to me.
He so desperately wants to do well for us but he is learning to have a bit more composure. Moyes will get the best out of him.

Played as good as I've seen from him today for an hour then ran out of steam a bit. But he tries his best. Shame he couldn't have stayed onside for one of the goals.

I apologize. I was wrong. Should have said at least 5 more. Decent season considering.
To be fair, had he timed his runs better today, and not been caught offside, he would have had two goals.

Best game he played today. Really is improving … Hold up play very good today ..
Yeah he was unfortunate with the offsides but showed a lot better touch and awareness I thought. Starting to look a real handful. Still think we’ll need more firepower next season but Beto plus another front line striker wouldn’t be bad.
…tbf he’s troubled the best with his competitiveness, he just needs to do it with his quality.

He hasn't been in top flight footy long. He is what you would call a late bloomer and I would back him to improve with service and the backing of the manager. He has a whole off-season to work on his game with (hopefully) proper backing this time. He has improved all around. Had a few games where he looked a solid footballer. Want to see MANY games where he looks a solid footballer in addition to his goalscoring.
