Him being at the club at his age is an indictment of how poorly the club has been run over the past few years.

Nothing against him, mind, none of that was his fault & he’s conducted himself well here despite being fairly limited as a player these days.

…I doubt that’s the case. He’ll know if he stays in top flight he’ll be a bit part player with a key role off the pitch.

I think a lot of people use his age when criticizing him if he was 27 years old would we want him gone. I am sure people will say yes but he is a really good solid player who can play almost anywhere.

Actually, what a way to end your career. It was a shame they both didn’t see the pitch together earlier this season.

Regardless of anything he has been completely professional since he’s been here. Right time to go but played himself through some ropey form and kept coming back under difficult circumstances. I wish him all the best wherever he goes or chooses to do.

Ashley Young had a good game again today and played some decent crosses into the box, even his weighted ball to Ross Stewart(?) for one of their chances was a decent one

He came here no expectations, played more than he probably expected and only ever acted with class. I wish him only the best of luck, despite that 4 3 win for Villa.
