First and last games at Goodison

Because of coming from a non-footballing family and being fairly skint as a kid, I never stepped into Goodison Park until I was a teenager despite starting following this club as a 7 yr old so have memories of the 80s glory years despite not being at any games.

First game, 19th September 1992 v Crystal Palace. Lost 0-2.
Final game, 18th May 2025 v Southampton.

I've had the same spec in GT4 row x for 30 years now and it will be with a heavy heart I say goodbye to it.

First game,

Can’t remember the year late 80s or early 90s and was against either Leicester or Swindon and we either won or lost 4-0

Last game was our 3-0 win over Bournemouth last season

Finally got over to Goodison from Cork in 08 at the age of 20 to witness us get battered by Pompey and the Yak miss probably the only penalty of his career for us .
Last visit Bournemouth this season :)
All you can do is laugh!

Can’t really remember my first game, but I’m one of the lucky ones who went as a little kid, 5-6 with me Grandad in the early eighties.

The first game I can properly remember was going for my 7th birthday pressie, 21st January 1984 vs Spurs.

Inchy scored in each half and if I wasn’t hooked before that, I was defo hooked then.

Never dreamed I’d be at Wembley that same year watching us win the FA Cup.

Last game is today, with my two kids but no grandad, but I know he’s there with us and my lads got his seat after he passed away.

Thanks for everything pop, I love you and miss you every day.

Fittingly, against the Saints. Joe Royle scored twice in a 4-1 win. Not been to my last game yet.

First game was March 1968 when we beat Newcastle 1-0. We left early as I was only 7 at the time and my Dad was worried about me getting crushed. Missed a late winner from Joe Royle. I have been hooked ever since.
