2024/25 David Moyes

that's because it's conjective?

Who's to say this seasons cup exits didn't help our league form?

I've been very clear my aims, stable improvement. Moyes didn't sign Pienaar for Everton straight away, he signed Kilbane first.

We have to be honest with ourselves about the rebuild task.

Sell corporate that allows us to punch our weight against a clique of clubs that are beyond corporate finance now, our peers are all blood money washers.

This is football. The PL has consumed everything except the Spanish legacy state. They're next.
Still think a cup win is beyond a club in our circumstances? Should Palace have rested players on their cup run to finish a couple of places higher in the league?

you are asking me, with 20/20 hindsight, to imagine a situation where the eggs in the basket they held didn't pay off where they did.

yodavek is much more serpentine with this stuff.

Got to buy a ticket to win a raffle. I imagine you don't buy a raffle ticket, I imagine you put all of your spare cash in a current account with an interest rate of 0.05%. A nice stable return.

Will be interesting to see if he goes for it today.

Also nice to see him being unafraid to move the 2 backup keeprs on, I expected Virginia to go but he'd been making noises that he wanted to stay. Hopefully some outside of the box thinking here.

Strange to announce Young leaving but no one else? Going to be an interesting week seeing if Moyes has any balls

The players gave up.

He had to take the painful choice to do what was right for the club rather than him.

Anyway, this is old ground.

The notion that Dyche who'd run up 48 points in a season would have struggled to get nowhere near the paltry total we have now is for the birds.

How many points did we have when he left?

We were one above the drop

So using his last 20 games … we was performing marginally better than the promoted teams ( which are the wrist ones as a group that have come up

The longer he stayed the more demoralised, bored, frustrated we and the players become .

What makes you feel like he was suddenly going to flip a switch and start performing better than his previous 20 games ?

Now that’s spin to fit your agenda if I’ve ever read it.

I reckon the millions in compensation had something to do with being what’s right for him, and the fact if he had waited until the summer he wouldn’t have got a penny. But yeah he put the club first.
