First and last games at Goodison

First game was the 88 Mersey derby. Sat/ (stood on my seat) in the Upper Gwladys. 1-0 Everton . Wayne Clarke scored and we stopped them breaking the record. Insane atmosphere. How could i not be smitten after that?
Last game was Arsenal a few weeks ago. Stood at the back of the lower Gwladys, had great time.
Will be up at 2:30am to drive up from South Wales. I don’t have a ticket but would not miss this for the world.

First match

Everton 1 - 0 Aston Villa 1990 Graeme Sharp scored the winner late. I remember my dad saying at the time he thinks it was the young lad Cottee who scored the winner. I remember how loud the Villa fans were at the time and I could be wrong but I think the away fans were behind one of the goals back then. was only a young kid

1st Everton v Burnley 4/4/75 , Mr and Mrs Darwin lived up our road and had season tickets ( they were Irish , can’t remember how they ended up in Wavertree ) Mr D couldn’t go so Mrs D took me , 1-1 Latchford scored. First game going regularly was the Glenn Keeley derby 6/11/82 , a mate from work got me a ticket. There’s been a lot of “ leaving Goodison where you went with your Dad, Grandad etc” not me , I went with the same lad and his dad and mates for a couple of seasons then started going with the same people I go with now. Last game will be on Sunday after having a season ticket since the Mark Ward derby 18/9/93 , I got a ticket for that game on general sale and went to the box office the next week and got it for the rest of the season.

First Game was in 95/96, I can’t remember who against or if we won/lost, I’d always assumed it was against Arsenal on a Saturday with Bergkamp scoring but looking up on Everton Results that didn’t happen till March of 97 and I’d definitely been to 2-3 games before that

Last Game was v Doncaster this season, I had hoped to get to 1-2 more cup games but I wasn’t wasting money and rushing from work to get to the Southampton game under Dyche and by the time the Bournemouth game rolled around I’d planned to go to Manchester for the day rather than pay PL prices for a cup tie
