New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Sorry, how is it "tawdry"?

Andy Hunter said up to 10m, I personally consider him a very good source, up to you.
Esk I am led to believe said 6m plus add ons, up to you.

It's my job to go the post office and withdraw the money once a year for Damon Hill Dixons Stadium and give it to the Freidkins.

I can confirm I've got to withdraw 8.2m this Monday so I'm assuming that is what we're getting paid (though they did ask me to by £50 worth of 32nd class stamps and some a4 bubble envelopes)

With all the speculation about the money amount, I hope people understand that even the lowest estimate of £5M would literally be one of the most lucrative naming rights deals worldwide. £10M is basically a pipe dream amount, and we somehow may actually end up making that much off it. It's weird how many crap sponsors we've had over the decades and people are getting upset about this one, who are giving us a potentially well above market level* amount.

I've posted before way back in this thread about how our financial predicament was largely based upon financing and building this thing the way it was, and that getting it done would not necessarily solve our financial problems in the next decade or so, given the financing costs ending up counting against PSR and the difficulty of finding a sponsor who'd get near that £10M figure. The Friedkins have within six months completely fixed the issues, and if you start doing the maths between tickets+hospitality+massive reduction in interest charges+HD sponsorship+finishing four spots higher this year than we would've hoped, you're going to start expecting a pretty significant net spend this summer.

*Given HD's history and specialty, they really do seem specifically to be a firm that would value this higher than other businesses, due to both the maritime setting and being in the city, so they aren't necessarily setting money on fire here from their perspective. That being said, it's not Everton Football Club's problem if HD are just setting money on fire.
