Hill Dickinson Stadium

It just sounds a bit tin pot, lower league to me.

I’m not sure it was worth selling. Everyone has a line - I mean would you let a sponsor change the kit colour if the money was right?

For a club that prides itself on history and tradition, it’s just a bit too jarring right now.
What?
It's as historical and related to the docks and stadium as you could imagine.

For too long I have lived my Everton life in a vicarious way.
If a crap name helps towards us living our own dream then so be it.
It's Bramley Moore anyway.

The only threat to the Kopites is money we can earn from such naming deals. We are beginning that process now. The days of “poor but pure” Everton are over.
Correct...this is where it all starts.

We get it right on the pitch first, then the big boys want that association.

Am not sure some blues are going to able handle the pivot from Bills Sentimental sweet shop to hard nosed business.

People say they want it but when the change starts happening they all fall to bits

They should have potentially looked at doing a shirt plus stadium naming rights deal for a better longterm return.

But, this lot doesn't want to be owning us longterm and wants to flip us in the next 12-18 months.

Get ready for a big sale next month and the PSR excuse to be rolled out.

So is Bramley-Moore.

Just sounds a bit cheap to me.
Not too bad

INTERNATIONAL law firm Hill Dickinson is celebrating its 200th year in business with a series of events and a major charity drive over the next two years.

Throughout its history Hill Dickinson, founded by Edward Morrall, has played a vital role in many high profile cases, most notably acting on behalf of the owners of RMS Lusitania and RMS Titanic. The firm was involved in the famous William Herbert Wallace murderŠinvestigation and made history by recruiting one of the first women in Britain to qualify as a solicitor.

It’s literally because we have the word Dick in our stadium name, and the word Hill precedes it. Like a massive hill of dicks! It’s because it gives license to the RS to rip the piss out of something that we have been holding on to as a beacon of light for years, only for it to become something they can ridicule.

I really hate the term ‘Everton That’. I think it’s both ridiculous and utterly pathetic to define ourselves as unfortunate whilst ignoring all the fortune that has come our way. But this does really feel ‘Everton That’ to me.
Stop thinking about Dicks so much.

I mean it could be worse.

They're a Historic Maritime law firm based in the heart of the city....it's actually a good fit.
Spot on EG.

A highly respected Liverpool firm that has grown into an international LLP with a stellar reputation.

They have had a sponsorship arrangement with Lancashire Cricket for years.

I accept that it's a law firm and therefore doesn't have the brand awareness of say Heinz or Toyota.

However I am perplexed at the adverse reaction to what appears to be a very good deal and one that should assist Everton significantly in the years to come.

The immaturity of some posters to read anything infantile into the name of the company is bewildering..

Just goes to show , you can't please all of the people all of the time

This is precisely it. The same “poor” want to put their subsidised season ticket before the club’s best interest in maximising its attractiveness to fund better player acquisition.

It’s a self-serving, two-faced piety that wants everything on the cheap and can’t join the dots then on why we cannot attract blue-chip sponsorship or players.

Yeah exactly.

I'll be honest I prefer the old parochial approach but it only really works if the sport itself is that way and it's not been for a very very long time.

It's a business now, the players are just commodities and the fans are just customers. A lot of fans are gong to be priced out soon as well especially if we become successful again. That's just how it is.

Couldn't care less about the stadium name. Think for how many years that actually pays for Doucoure's and Keane's salalary.🙃

Seriously though, for £10m a year they can call it whatever they want. If we really want this to be the start of a new era at Everton, we have to accept that smart business sense outrules sentiments.

It also shows you Blues have got some sort of superiority complex because they feel having some sort of multinational plastered all over the stadium instantly has us playing with the big boys, that we're suddenly massive.

It's a good fit for the time being...no doubt there will be a break clause incase anyone "bigger" comes along .

If it’s all they could attract then fair enough but I thought TFG with all their connections would have been able to attract bigger , cooler blue chip brands
