Looks like they are doing anything and everything to improve the books as quick as possible and without much expense so they can flip the club next year to make a decent profit.

I wouldn't be surprised if we do a big sale next month and say it's due to PSR.

They want the books to look as good as possible for potential buyers.
If they're quick enough they can sell Doucoure before his contract is up.

This ⬆️
Having beaten so many potential owners to complete the deal last year, they will surely have them all beating a path to Texas to given the Freidkins even more money once this fiendish plan is executed.

We’re not called Hill Dickinson, it’s still Everton.

It’s a temporary stadium name and why is it embarrassing to some people?
It’s puzzling me.
Innocuous name
Local business
Very good financial deal
The stadium still resides at Bramley - Moore for those who do not wish to refer to the sponsorship name .
Faux outrage ensues .
Could have been far worse , imagine the Tesla Stadium 🤣

Especially as the asking price has just risen dramatically…

I guess from TFG viewpoint they will be happy with what they've done in 5 months. They won't sweat over the stadium name - it's just commercial to them and bottom-line revenue addition.

- New (old) manager, comfortable retention of PL status
- New CEO
- Reconstituted board
- New executive appointments
- Stadium naming rights deal secured
- Goodison retained - a statement for the women's game.

I think they will see things as so far, so good. Obviously none of what's been done will mean anything if it doesn't translate to "success".

If Champions League theme music is booming out at The Dickinson Hill Stadium in a couple of years, nobody will give a frig what it's called.

If it's more of the same, then it will be added to a long list of other gripes.

Kinnear was right the other day - the priority must always be the football. It's the acid test that awaits over the next weeks and months and how the squad will look in September.
Good Post, reading through the thread,I get the impression that some are in denial of the current environment the Premier League operates in.
Massively commercial and a catalyst to sustaining much print media and pay tv. We may wish this was not the case, but as Evertonians, who wish to see us return to our previous glories, we have no choice but to hold our noses and join the club.

That for me is what TFG are seeking to do.

It’s not temporary the same way the Reebok, the echo arena, the Brittania weren’t temporary. Stoke fans still call it the Brit ffs they don’t call it the Bet 365.

The first name is always crucial hence why Spurs have kept it a neutral name for so long until they get the deal they want. For a paltry 5 mill a season we should have done the same.

As a club we don’t have much currently but we had an authenticity that others simply didn’t. That’s now been sold for 5 mill a season. Even Brighton managed a better branding opportunity with the Amex.

The Etihad
The Emirates
The Allianz
The Amex

All temporary names?

Do people call it the Wanda Metropolitano or the Riyadh air Metropolitano?

As I said, trophies will be the only antidote to this for me because if we continue to have decades of being utterly rubbish then what was the point in selling off our authenticity.

You forgot the refinancing of debt to better terms as well

Anywhere confirmed it’s just a “paltry 5m a season”? which is only 0.9m less than Arsenal get a season. Arsenal being a club finishing in the top 2/3 a season and in Europe every year.

Also Brighton’s branding deal with Amex is £8m a year which is both shirt and naming. I’d suggest ours is significantly better than that overall.

I read yesterday there is a break clause after 3 years but club will have to pay a charge if they wanna break it.

If we wanted authenticity we could have rejected having stadium naming sponsorship’s altogether. Along with football shirts being little more than billboards ( something I have always disliked).
Ultimately it’s how we personally refer to stadium that matters not how others will refer to it .
Bramley - Moore it will remain for me .
Football sold its soul a long time ago and bickering over the name of the devil who collects the price is largely spurious .
