Grow up lads , moaning about a stadium name?
its modern football it’ll be something else in a few years . Don’t get hung up on it as it means very little.
I went on the Goodison Park tour yesterday
10 hour round trip drive to say goodbye to the old lady as we know it. 39 years a blue and felt a proud blue again after a tough few years.
I cried a bit and it was incredibly moving all the history. Am delighted it is staying with us for a bit anyway.

I drove to the new stadium and it is beautiful and its going to put us back where we belong I know it.

I couldnt care less what ms written on the sign outside its Everton’s football stadium thats all that matters

For context, our gate receipts were £19m in the 23/24 accounts. So a £10m a year naming rights deal is pretty impressive in that context. Plus I’d guess there is a hope that the ground will bring in an extra £10-20m in additional gate receipts plus additional revenue from concerts/non-match day use all adds up to a substantial rise in turnover which should ultimately fund a more successful team on the pitch.

Mate they will move onto something else next week.

It was the price of a sausage roll the other day.

Yes.

As I say, it has grown on me.

😊

Fickle?

Me?

You betcha 😎
No mate you're not,I get why fans are having a wobble.

We're leaving a stadium thats synonymous with the club, into a new stadium, with a naming rights deal thats got absolutely nothing to do with the club itself.

It's all pretty raw at the minute everything that's going on,but you're the prime example of someone who's had wobble, settled down and thought, actually it not even that bad.👍

Would you rather it was the Standard Chartered stadium? Or some other global corporation with horrendous human rights connotations? I know people were hoping for Toyota or similar, but it could be a lot worse. Naming rights deals in the UK are very difficult to get, and even more difficult to get proper money for, rather than contra deals. I've been involved in a few, and they take massive negotiations and usually end up as a waste of money for the companies involved.
