New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I'm agreeing with you. Arsenal's ground when it was being built, and before they had a naming sponsor, was known as Ashburton Grove, and loads of their fans said that's what they would call it no matter what the sponsor was. But, as you said, they very quickly got used to the sponsored name and nobody calls it Ashburton Grove at all now.

Sorry, see my edit 😂

I think the official name of Everton Stadium will prove longer-lasting than people think - particularly if Hill-Dickinson are replaced in a number of years by a new sponsor. In Germany, the Arena AufSchalke - which simply means The Schalke Arena - has been officially branded the Veltins-Arena for years. But it's still the Arena AufSchalke to many - particularly to UEFA.

In Hamburg, the old Volksparkstadion was rebranded the AOL Arena on completion. Nobody referred to it as the HRH Nordbank Arena when that became its official name. Fewer called it the Imtech Arena. In fact, they have returned to calling it the Volksparkstadion, marking the first time a German club has returned to calling its stadium by its original name.

Everton Stadium might last longer than people think...especially as that is what UEFA will insist on calling it and having it called at Euro 2028.

I think it might have been an idea to call it the Hill Dickinson Everton Stadium tbh but depends on the contract details. Easier for people to continue using Everton Stadium from day 1, through to whenever the sponsorship name changes or disappears.

Similar to when Middlesborough started their new stadium as the BT Cellnet Riverside Stadium. It then reverted to keeping Riverside Stadium after the deal ended 👍

Slightly different. Ashburton Grove was just a road, one of several that made way for the stadium. Our stadium is on an historic dock, a location we are proud of, the pitch is literally on top of the dock. I'm not expecting the media to keep using the Bramley Moore name, but no chance many scousers won't keep calling it Bramley Moore, imo. I also think the fact it's not catchy enough won't help. We're naturally lazy, and names like the Emirates and the Amex, whilst not particuarly evocative are easy enough for most people to spit out. If Arsenal's ground was called The Emirates Sovereign Wealth Fund Stadium then I guarantee it would just get called the Emirates anyway. I can't really see many Evertonian's saying they're going 'the hill.'

Hill Dickinson could just pull their finger out and rebrand themselves as HD like, that could catch on.

Spurs in London, playing fairly regular champs league and could next season. Haven’t found a sponsor.

Yet everton in constant relegation have…at a quoted 10 million a season.

Could it be for the first time in years we have good owners!! Actual business men.

I doubt TFG with a turn over of 13 billion have gone lets take the first deal offered.

Your not being run by Bill or Farad you know
And you think Spurs are holding out for the legal world's Farm Foods?

Maybe, we'll see. I wouldn't be surprised if the ground attracted a nickname that gets adopted as I'm not sure that either The Hill Dickinson Stadium or Bramley Moore Dock are all that catchy, to be honest. Either way, we'll know within about six months.
