‘Long term deal’ might only be 3 seasons tbf. Which would be a prudent approach as if TFGs (apparent) aspirations are met, opens the door to a re-negotiation or new sponsor.

It won’t be 10 million a year, there turnover is only £100 million, they’re probably making at least 20% margin but will they really plough half there free cash into stadium naming rights? It’s a bit odd to be honest, would have thought they waited a bit to get more money.
I think they’ve done it now so nobody gets used to calling it Bramley Moore Dock stadium and then it makes it less contentious to rename again when they get a better deal than wait and everyone has got attached to the original name.
However for less than £5 million a year, I’d rather an iconic stadium name and just cut back on one less overpaid bench warmer.

We got trapped in a longterm deal with a company who milked us and done the bare minimum while every club around us made massive deals.

Can't win situation. Whatever it was named there would be people moaning. I don't care what it's officially called as long as we have a good deal and it seems like we have that on the table. A nice little bonus is that it's a local business rather than selling out to oil or something similar. Will be Bramley Moore to me.
