just keep the song as it is. It’s a Goodison song that can still be used. The new stadium needs to earn its songs, not be handed them.

They put out a statement to discourage it, so they must know it's a possibility.
Hopefully they won't be so naive as to think the statement alone will deter everyone. Handled in in the right way it can be a fantastic day for everyone in and around the stadium.

Just a reminder for anyone travelling from Wirral side on Sunday. Load of merseyrail planned engineering on, so plan your trip if intending to get there early for the coach etc.

The statement isn't even designed to deter to people, it's designed to allow them to say they warned people and didn't encourage it.

Me and the family haven't got tickets, but we are going to come down for the coach welcome... we'll asses what we do after from there.

I'm thinking we'll head straight home at the moment, but mainly because it's such an unprecedented thing and it's impossible to know how many people are going to be there and what's going to happen.

People are going to respond to it in different ways, and there might be the odd scary moment - especially at full time with people potentially trying to get in (like they did at the derby) - that I don't want the kids to be around.
