6 + 2 Point Deductions

I think someone on here said that money spent on Women`s teams development doesn`t count towards PSR. There could be an opportunity to poor money into building up the team to make them top of the pile and eventually the ladies team could become a nice money making arm for the club. Chelsea selling their ladies team is a short term fix to pull together some cash, a bit like the way our assets were handled in the past.
We can at least sell Goodison then. ;) New stadium cost us about 800m, so I don't think 300m would be far off fair value for Goodison. PSR = fixed forever.

Hot take but Everton staying up last season with the political wing of the PL stacked against us, was a far far bigger achievement than the RS winning the league this year, who only won it off the back of the referees.

They defied logic with their offsides given as goals, we defied gravity and the pull down the table 👍💪

Absolutely can not take anything away from the Reds, they remained consistent when no one else could.

No bitterness from me here, but I think they'll find it tougher to defend the title, but you can't fluke it.

On the other hand, how we've bounced back, after constant set backs is huge. It's easily one hell of an achievement. But I'm going to disagree, purely for the fact I don't want to celebrate being garbage.

It was a mess, stressful, far from enjoyable and I don't want to think of it again. As much as the PL screwed us, we screwed ourselves by clearly taking the mick with out accounts. A dark time for the club.

I think we all probably thought it would be a case of post Klopp blues and they’d fall down the table under a Dutch manager where previous Dutch managers have all seemed to fail here miserably. Fair play to him and them they certainly proved me wrong at least.

Sorry, they're 15 points clear.

Not really sure how their success can be down to the refs to be honest.

veering off track here now.
A lot of things in this league come down to PL politics, refs etc. We got the short straw last season sadly and points deductions on very questionable grounds. City are nowhere to be seen despite 130 charges. The RS got very lucky with the amount of pens and ref decisions going their way this season. Once again we were a bit unlucky however the media is in a nostalgia frenzy over us leaving Goodison, which is something I guess.

As I said anyway, us staying up last season with the odds against us was a far bigger achievement 👍👍

Arsenal played their part in helping the RS win the PL this year. Every time the RS dropped points Arsenal seemed to find a way to drop points themselves. To be fair to the RS they have been consistently second best for a long time in the PL, and that stands to them when no everyone else can`t get their game together to put in a title challenge they have been there twice to pick up the title.

It's actually quite sound when youre not fuming about them too.

They act even more bizarre than normal.

Don't see the point in measuring their success against other seasons, as if we win the League with a record low points tally, no one would take that away from me.

Everyone around them didn't step up, they did. Fair play.

For so many years its been a closed shop at the top with the sly 6, you`d say if we could get above one or two of them we`d be right there for CL football. We get above United and Spurs, and are at the dizzying heights of 13th in the table.

For me, totally a case of walking before we can walk.

There's a huge transitional period this off season. Half yhr squad off contract. That said, completely new nucleus and out with the losera could help us.

I think we're a season of solid recruitment off. But hope youre right!
