Don't have a clue about the guys capabilities but he has 10 years experience as a coach at some of the top clubs in football behind him, whereas Gerrard had virtually none(as a coach) when he took over.
Don't want it to be Gerrard anyway but obviously would be another gamble going down this route, if this is the way we're going?

We've been ran shambolically for the last three years dave!! probably just waiting to announce the takeover and then the new manager over the weekend and Coming week to deflect the headlines away from that lot!
