Gardener's Question Time

Right dry weather hot sun - time to harden your tender plants off outside - water well & the n feed with a good NPK liquid fertiliser at the rate on the bottle twice a week - Hanging baskets & wall baskets time to make them up & place in full sun before hanging them up in about 2 weeks - use the loam in Home & Bargain mixed with their peat free compost with bone meal & slow realise pellets & a bit of perlite & growmoore fertiliser mix well in a large trug then pack your Basket out tight -

Remember to make your HBsts or wall Bskts s un nickable Hanging baskets use a jubilee clip on the hook -

I prefer Wall Baskets as they don't catch the wind too much - once in full growth feed twice a week with a potash feed tomotorite & a high nitrogen feed liquid lawn fertiliser always water first before feeding plus dead head you flowers with scissors as & when - screw your wall baskets to your wall too ;)

Plus in this hot weather cut your lawn less & do not use weed & feed without watering in afterwards ....

Dear @Joey66

Can you fix this for me?

I overseeded my front lawn after a scarify at the start of April. While the lawn generally is looking well at ground level, I can still see thin patches from upstairs in the house. Should I reseed just these patches again? Idon't like leaving the grass 3-4 weeks when its growing so fast between cuts.

Sincerely
@Pootsy (Aged 50 and 1 month)

Water well cut less more than usual our lawn has o lying been cut 3 times in 6 weeks eg no rain -I would imagine hour new germinated seed is suffering because of drought water the dry patches in a flood every night in puddles to fetch it back & cut less untill rainfall returns. Joey IOH

I’ve had the sprinkler on 4-5 times a week to keep everything well watered. Will keep that up.

Cheers mate

I finally got round to pruning my quince, and feeding it bonemeal. I already have mini quince ! Thanks for your advice.

My quince is ripening lovely. I counted over 50 on the bush, which is nice. Thanks @Joey66 for your advice a few months back, certainly appears to have worked like a dream.

DDT, agent orange, or napalm, which is easiest home brewed and how are each deployed for best use against verdant growth of P.I.A. back yard?
