Honestly, because there's nothing riding on it, there's no real risk.

The games a dead rubber, but I imagine being in and around Goodison for the last time will have sentimental value more than watching it on TV.

I genuinely think it'll be chaos.
I'd agree. There's going to be loads wanting to soak up the experience for the last time who cant get a ticket. Last chance to see the team coach arrive at Goodison and to experience the crowds and the atmosphere. Pre-match its going to be rammed.

I'm not even sure i'll watch the game, more interested in being around the ground in the sunhsine hopefully, than cramming into a boozer

I would definitely have said no, using the same logic as you, but the common consensus on here has been that they will and so I assume that's based on people who are going to do it/know others who are. I have to say I don't really get it myself, I can understand going with a group of mates who've got tickets, having a beer with them and then meeting up again after or whatever, but the idea of just heading down there on your own to lurk outside the ground or trying to rush the gates to watch a few old players walking round seems a bit mad to me.
A lot of people have a sense of history (personal or otherwise) so regardless of the value they get out of the specific experience they can always look back in future years and say they were there. For some fans it will represent the final chapter having attended with loved ones who may have passed etc. I’ve got nothing to base this on so could be wrong but I suspect it won’t be as busy as people are thinking it will be.
