Your greatest 'moment' at Goodison

Yeah it’s not a specific memory like some have said it’s a feeling I get on a summers day, Z Cars playing and the roar of the crowd as the team come out the tunnel. Just can’t beat them little moments where the hairs on the back of your neck stand up!
Ive never been to a game in my life at goodison and missed Z Cars, its that exact moment that gives me the hope no matter where we are as a team or a club or who were playing.

That Cmonnnnnnn roar when they enter the pitch!! They cant ruin anything at that point.

It was going up those last few steps from the concourse to see Goodison in all her glory come into sight that will always be my abiding memory. Unforgettable awe and breathtaking view that never diminished no matter how many times I got to the top of those stairs
Been to nearly every other ground in the country and nowhere else has ever had or given me that sense of entering somewhere magical as you climb those last couple of steps. Goodison does it every single time.
Like Danny says above, the place is just magical.
A Cathedral of football that isn't matched nor beaten anywhere.

Stop it now Tommy, ive been telling myself im not arsed and cant wait for it to be over!

Arteta nailing one in at the Street End right in front of me against Fiorentina… Place went next level mental

Gosling against them in the cup… Ended up 3 rows down from where I was stood during the celebration and no voice at the end
Same for me. I don't know how but I'd got cracking seat 2nd row from front of upper G. The place went completely mental. 100% my favourite moment

Z Cars - always gave me goosebumps. Always.

Sharpie’s volley against Spurs over Clemence - I can’t think of a more spectacular goal I’ve ever seen us score and the place went nuts.

Duncan McKenzie vs Stoke… I’d never seen a footballer do what he could (and the blue on the shirts in the 70s was perfect)

The best limbs I ever experienced came from a Duncan Ferguson equaliser against the RS in April 1997, I think. But I’d probably pick Joe Royle’s first game as manager above that.

Watson’s winner in the second replay in 1991 was good as well, but I’m more talking about the whole game there. All three were night games against the RS at Goodison.

Every single time.
The sights, the noises, the smell, the whole panorama opening out in front of you.

Gonna miss that place soooo much. Choking up just thinking about it. Ffs
Agree with all this, although the smell has altered over the years. I can still vividly remember the very distinctive smell from the old hotdog vendors with their push along carts outside the ground in the late 60s/early 70s
(think it was a mixture of the fried onion, the vendors cigarette ash and his piss stained kecks)

Theres a few tbh, and my most memorable will probably change day to day, as Ive been fortunate to have many. However, this one will always be around.

Me and my Dad have always gone the game together, seats next to each other and all that. On the morning of the West Ham game, Unsworths first in charge, my Dad had a heart attack so couldn't go to the game. It meant that I had a spare ticket to take my eldest lad on. There are many moments from that day I will take with me to my grave, but one of the finest, was seeing his face when we scored our first and that I could grab him and lift him up in the air as my Dad had done to me at my first, and it felt like a passing of the guards.

My Dad was fine btw, thanks to the wonderful people at LH&C. Ive mentioned the story before, but we still go together, as Dad and Lad, and will do for a long time yet. But, that moment was a special one for so many reasons.
