Great victory.

Really, really annoyed me the two completely unnecessary VAR checks for nothing - especially the Keane goal. That, as I assume for all goals, is an extremely brief check by the VAR team that in no way needs to be escalated to being announced it's under investigation for a possible foul or offside. There was nothing in the area, a very clean set of challenges and marking by all players and no clear flick on to make a possible offside. Ridiculous.

Then the handball, arm at all times in a natural position, firstly when running (out) and then anticipating a cross (quickly moving to side). The referee was close, saw it, correctly deemed it not a penalty. Again, no need for VAR team to intervene.

If they're calling that then they might as well be honest and remove the 'clear and obvious mistake' from their protocol and just tell everybody they are re-refereeing the game in real time because that's what's been happening all season.

We say it every season, but there have to be huge improvements next season to the system.
I think it was a pen,his arm was away from his body natural position or not it stopped the cross. If it had been at the other end I'd have been fuming at it not being given.

I've never looked at a handball shout when the defender is 2 yards away from the attacker and taught that's a handball either for us or against us.
Odd that a lot of defenders put their hands behind their backs when closing down a player about to cross the ball🤔

Now that the RS have won the league, VAR need to give out a few dodgy decisions so the spotlight is taken away from how the rats have had VAR as a 12th man all season. Expect a couple more before league is over, even a couple of pens against LiVARpool, just to pretend it is evened up like.

By the way, in my opinion it was a pen.

….if you look at Mykolenko he does just that but his opponent shifted further to the right so the arm came out as he changed position.

I give up on knowing what is and what isn’t, I thought VAR would help define rules but it’s as vague as ever. I do agree with @Tipp blue in the distance the ball travels should be a factor.

After the last minute Man Utd reversal, I’m more inclined to think we are one of the clubs where guesswork is involved. VAR officials thinking they should do something rather than looking to do nothing.
