He doesn't even get on the pitch for them nowadays - 0 minutes in the last 5 games. 4 goals all season in a team that creates chances for fun. That's a great parting gift by Thellers in fairness, I thought there's absolutely no chance anybody takes him off us, let alone for £10+ million.
 

So the premier league is now looking at 9 european spots next season. This is THE time to build a squad to jump the table. I saw an article mentioning theoretically it could get up to 11. Is that actually possible if everything were perfect?

Great for English football, not so great a time to be fighting it out for 13th position, and knowing that one of Spurs and United are CL bound while sitting a few points below us.
Giving more spots to teams in the bigger leagues, like the PL, is a good move for UEFA in trying to put the wanna be super league clubs in their place. A couple of extra places for teams to compete for would make it more viable for teams to have bigger squads knowing there`s a better chance of getting European football and the extra revenue that comes with it. The past set up which gave the sly 6 near guaranteed European football and left the rest of the teams scrapping for the 7th spot allowed the gap to grow.
