2024/25 Beto

I think he caught Leno by surprise and I give him full credit.

Fluked or not it's still gone in and that's all that matters. 3-1 relaxes everyone and we coasted to victory. Every goal he's scored has been important and I'm grateful for them all.
The boy can score. Andy Cole missed as many as he scored (no I'm not comparing him to Andy Cole one of the best to do it ffs) but knew his job was to just keep on scoring. I've said before if Beto was playing in the 90s with a second striker in the old 4-4-2 he'd get plenty.

Plus Beto's goals to minutes played ratio in the PL this season is better than Delap, Cole Palmer, Mbeumo, Mateta to name 4
Yeah Delap has exactly two more non penalty goals than Beto (4 more if you count penalties), having played 1138 minutes. At the rate Beto is scoring these days you'd expect between 5 and 7 more goals if he had that much more time.

I doubt anybody is offering £20m for him and let's be honest that doesn't get you much nowadays. He's proven he's a handful for defenders and clearly can score a handful next season, albeit hopefully not as a starting striker when everybody is fit. Let DC go, keep him (unless a good offer comes in) and Cherms, bring in as top a striker as possible.
