2024/25 Beto

I’ve explained it to you. It’s really not difficult to understand, go and google it
No mate. You initially claimed we could buy two players from the proceeds of Beto's sale, then explained how the mooted profit would pay for one player (in the process forgetting you said we could buy two), before pulling some figures out of your arse to demonstrate how we can buy two players.

Not sure Google can help here. I tried chatGPT though, came up with this:

A **blagger** is someone who talks confidently—often dishonestly or without real knowledge—in order to achieve something, like persuading others or getting out of trouble. The term is informal and commonly used in British English.

A blagger might:

* **Exaggerate or lie** to impress people.
* **Pretend to know more** than they do.
* **Talk their way into or out of situations** without real qualifications or facts.

Example:
"He blagged understanding how transfers work by pretending to be able to sell and adequately replace Beto."

Mad huh?

My Source 🤣🤣 it’s common knowledge they wiii be spending, how much who knows. Also yes maybe Delap wasn’t great today or last week, but Beto has played 60 games for us and you can watch 30 of them and he’d look like a championship striker
Yet since a manager comes in and attempts to play to his strengths he has become our top scorer. His minutes to goals is very favourable

Say the fee for Beto is 25m we still have to pay it even with dribs and drabs. We sell for 20m and that will be in dribs and drabs then to me that amounts to a loss
Why were Chelsea signing 100mil players and giving them 8yr deals. Because it’s spreads the cost over a longer period and helped their accounting . The premier league have since changed the rules on this

They still have to pay the 100m regardless on the size of contract. So if they sold said player for 50m they still make a loss

Come on mate, nobody knows how PSR works and you certainly have no idea what figures Everton are dealing with currently, sure, you know the basics, but you simply have no idea how much leeway Everton has with regards PSR.

Finger me as much as you like, it wont change the above fact.
I know how amortisation works and this is what it is.

Here, I will help you out, seems you too lazy to do it.

Beto, signed for 25m on a 4 year deal, 6.25m a year, 2 years left, his book price is 12.5m.
Garner, signed for 15m, 3.75m a year, 1 year left, his book price is 3.75m.

Selling Beto for 20m, would give us a profit of 7.5m.
Selling Garner for 15m, would give us a profit of 11.35m.

18.85m *profit, spread over a 5 year contract would give us 94.25m to spend on players, for the purposes of PSR.

The above doesnt factor in wages, thus the *profit would be much higher.

The biggest problem with the above would be the almost 70m we would need to find over the next 5 years, not to mention the increased wages of 5 players on 5 year contracts, but hey, PSR is dead easy and im sure somebody will explain it all away.

the end.

No definitely not comparable
Ignore the efl trophy obviously, you can see Beto has a goal every 166 minutes this season even though we’ve created barely anything and played total anti-football most of this season.

Lukaku scored similarly regularly in a team with some great creative players in.

Why can I not compare these two Everton strikers mate?

He has a gammy way of running which skews people’s opinions of him but he is effective and always causes problems and contributes well with chances and goals
