To be fair to Alcaraz he still looks decent when pushed out wide. Obviously not as effective as centrally, but he manages to get involved dictating play and can put a decent ball in.

He deserves to have five or six more assists than he does (due to Beto and others being hopeless at finishing brilliant chances). I honestly believe we could build a team around him in central midfield.

No, but the squad has injury issues and there might be other factors at play. I doubt they are putting out a side they don’t think can get a result.

I honestly don't think Moyes will have enough sway with the board to be tanking games. If he lost the last 3 games coming up, I don't think they'd think twice about sacking him.

….not sure Moyes will have had many options other than Keane if O’Brien is injured, especially if it was a late call. Similarly, it can’t be a surprise that Young is preferred to Patterson.

Hopefully O’Brien is back next week, with Tarkowski out then Keane will have to start again.
