I've no idea what everyone was expecting, but surely it's exactly that.

It's the 125th Goodison shirt - which everyone loved - minus the Umbro logo, in the colour we all knew it was coming in, with the badge we all knew it was going to have.

Have to agree. You can like it or not, but I don't see how you can be surprised by what it looks like. Some people also seem to have forgotten what it's actually supposed to be - if it was royal blue and with the current badge it wouldn't be a tribute to Goodison would it.

I was expressing a generalised sentiment that it looks pretty much exactly how I'd expected it to, given the teases and what fans have said they liked previously.

But I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the strong reactions in this thread. Every new shirt is greeted with derision every season.

It's a very different top. Nor will it ever be wore by the first team like the other was (albeit, pre season)
