Remember this?
Not happening that is it."The Club and Merseyside Police have respectfully requested that fans without a ticket for the match do not travel to Goodison or gather around the stadium."
Ye, if there was to be 10 minutes of injury time the game would not finish till 5 to 2 leaving you 50 minutes to have something to eat or drink. Farewell to Goodison? Well done EvertonFrom the O.S
<< Once the match has ended, supporters will be able to purchase food and drink – including alcohol – on Goodison’s concourses and return to their seats to enjoy the show. Consumption of alcohol will be permitted within the stadium bowl from the full-time whistle until bars close at 2.45pm.>>
That's barely an hour after the game![]()
I noticed thatThis is the worry, Gwladys street and Goodison road are bottle necks which could get dangerous. I noticed at the Ipswich game there was alot more fan traffic around.
We know they initially applied to have a licence for an extra 90 minutes after the game. It's possible it got turned down but it's not a massive difference anyway really. The plan is clearly just that you get yourself a pint and then take it to your seat to watch the show rather than encouraging people to just take up residence downstairs and neck 5 pints so it seems like a pretty fair idea to be honest.Same i would have liked abit longer maybe hearing some of the ex players aswell hard to trust the club even with new owners because of well how badly have already been dealing with this final season at goodison. Could have done so much more, special last kit for the final game, could have made more things to buy.
Found one of dads old season tickets in a desk-drawer at work today. I dunno how it wound up in my desk. Really strange how it materialised from nowhere. I was looking for something stupid like a stapler or something and this appeared.
In typical Everton fashion, they spelt his name wrong.
I was sad and laughing at the same time.
I miss him very much. Leaving Goodison is gonna be very sad given he won't see the new stadium. I've not been the same person since he passed. None of us have.
Gears have switched and our lives are forever altered.
I'll hold onto this though. Glad to have unexpectedly found it.

I don't know what your on about, most fans going down without tickets will simply soak up atmosphere and watch it in pub around ground. I don't know how fans who can't get tickets having a few beers around ground effects you. Most people with tickets will get in there early and fans without will be sitting in pub. Your conflating 2 completely different situations, RS in Paris bunking in or trying to bunk, if they are caught they will just get kicked out. If you get caught bunking in at GP you could get lifetime ban. You had huge numbers of fans against Bournemouth there wasn't any trouble and nobody died. I gave up my season ticket cos I was unwell, I've been away with Everton, abroad with Everton. I've watched us lose 4-1 to West Brom at home, seen us lose 6-1 to Arsenal, had to get coach to Arsenal in snow, gone to Spurs on a weeknight. Why shouldn't fans like me and others get to enjoy atmosphere outside place that holds so many memories. Other than Lower Gwladys nobody will try to bunk in and considering queues to get in there, it's not gonna happen. Its 2025 mate. You can't get away with stuff like we used to back in the day. All that it would take is someone taking an unfortunate knock accidentally, and the club gets sued. Its nowt to do with us getting home for tea and everything to do with safty and being practical. You can do whatever you want mate and more power to you but you won't convince me that just standing around the ground is anything other the juvenile, kopite behaviour.
Watching in the pubs around Goodison wasn't what was being talked about. The discussion was about the people who intend to just stand outside the Bullens, the Gwladys, the Park End ect while the game is on. You don't need to play the I've been to x amount of games card mate. I don't doubt that you're a true supporter. I simply think that mindlessly standing outside the ground while the game is on is utterly moronic.I don't know what your on about, most fans going down without tickets will simply soak up atmosphere and watch it in pub around ground. Maybe the club and the police could have told the prem league to make the game kick off at a more convenient time for the supporters."The Club and Merseyside Police have respectfully requested that fans without a ticket for the match do not travel to Goodison or gather around the stadium."
Have they ever requested that from the other lot? This is their lot during covid lockdown.

Morons? ReallyPotentially a lot of people. Goodison is a nightmare bottleneck at the best of times. Add ten thousand morons mindlessly standing around while everyone else trys to get in and out and it will be a nightmare.
If they plan to just mindlessly stand outside the ground, not in the pub actually watching the game, just stood outside the ground, then yes. They're morons.Morons? Really

That doesn’t really make any sense in context? The less convenient the kick off time the better as far as they’re concerned.Maybe the club and the police could have told the prem league to make the game kick off at a more convenient time for the supporters.
I assume for a many it will be like a final pilgrimage to Goodison. If they plan to just mindlessly stand outside the ground, not in the pub actually watching the game, just stood outside the ground, then yes. They're morons.
