I mean this would be typical Everton wouldn’t it. I’ve commented for a while saying it doesn’t look like anything is happening and also why isn’t the inside being done, a shop, a store, whatever. All seems a bit strange.

The lack of relevant updates doesn’t help.

The updates seem to mostly cover Everton Way which is great but what about the internal fit-out?
What’s going on with the scaffolding? Why are they relaying the pitch? Etc.

Pretty sure these can be answered quickly and concisely by the club and immediately kill any rumours.

It’s a very plain statement that Everton Way is going to be finished in the summer, and the stadium will open at some point after it’s finished.

And if it’s not, let 20,000 into BMD into whichever stands have working bogs and Korean chicken outlets, dust off that big screen at Goodison I watched us beat the RS on in 87 (I think) and cram 30000 onto Goodison for a couple of weeks. Bring your own deckchair.

Probably didn't need the 'chat in the workforce' bit and comments on what they think then did it?

I say that because it would be quite important in understanding what was actually happening. If people working there were saying in their professional opinion it was likely FIVE MONTHS from being ready, then the only real explanation would be actual build problems. There's no way anyone's saying 'oh we might struggle to get all these light fittings done before October' or 'this paint will definitely take longer than 4 months to dry' so you could 100% put that type of thing down as completely made up nonsense.

Was just relaying what they said tbh, both (at different levels within 'workforce' ) were saying the same thing regarding stadium completion.

I get the sceptical tone of your post and nobody wants talk of issues to be true but it is seemingly a distinct possibility.

IF this delay is true it may well be down to TFG coming in and changing to more of an American style of branding.
