Thomas Frank

Frank was supposed to be thelwells first choice if dyche stayed till end of the season. I think he has done a very good job and Brentford score a lot of goals.

What do we reckon?

He's done some job at Brentford.

Got them promoted for the first time since 40s.

13th first season in the Prem.

9th an Brentfords highest ever finish second season.

16th third season, but to be fair - Toney out for 8 months/bad luck with injuries all round. Never really in danger.

9th so far this season, and in contention of Europe.

More than established them as a good side with modest spend. Small squad, average age 25.

Is he capable of managing a bigger team? Or is Brentford his level?
I think he's a superb coach, can't understand why bigger clubs haven't been after him

We took Moyes from Preston and he did ok. Frank's football is certainly no more direct than Moyes' IMO. If we were looking for a new manager I certainly wouldn't be against appointing him

Frank wouldn't be much of an upgrade on Moyes, IMO. Football wise. But he'd be a hell of aa leap forward in terms of morality.

Read a bit about him from a Brentford fan - they lauded him for being very adaptive to the situation, moving away quickly from the possession-based style from the Championship and adapting quickly to the league and requirements, even with the recruitment, while making the most of the players at hand and grinding it out when it's needed. Think he'd be a good fit here, to be honest.

Overall, hope he doesn't go to the Manager Graveyard at Spurs. Him and Iraola are proof that you can still do things "right" in the Prem, so it's a good thing to see/have.
