After being there yesterday, I reckon we’ve made a big mistake here. Don’t wanna leave

Couldn't ask for a better opponent for the last game lads. We're horrendously bad.

Could probably stick 11 drunk teenagers from the stands on the pitch and still get a 1-0 win.
I'm 59,dodgy knee,two hernias,need a bit of experience in there?can still "pull the (ham)strings"😉🤣🤣🤣

I actually hate this team. They've utterly ruined this last season at Goodison. Apart from Tarks against the RS there hasn't been a single boss moment. Wins against Crystal Palace, Wolves, Spurs and Leicester along with possibly one more against Southampton is absolutely disgraceful. That team playing for us is one of the biggest reasons we need to move, so we can be competitive and not have utter dog muck like this side representing us. There might be worse teams in the clubs history but there's never been a more unlikeable one. I'll never forgive that side for ruining this home campaign. I had such little expectations and even then they let us all down. I just hope they stumble over the line against Southampton, avoid embarrassment and then bugger off to let the fans have the moment. No walking around the pitch begging for grossly undeserved applause. Just go away.

People talking about Southampton as if it's the last game of the season . Don't forget we have the small matter of going to Newcastle and probably getting battered . Our team switched off as soon as safety was assured.
Said this to my mate who's a Newcastle fan, we're the best opponent they could hope for in a must win last day fixture. A long history of getting destroyed away on the last day, and that's usually without the opponents having something to play for!

It had the opposite effect for me. I love Goodison. It's one of my favourite, happy places, but yesterday was a wake-up call. We've got to stop holding onto the past and embrace the future. In football in 2025, if you aren't going forward, you're going backwards, and unfortunately we simply can't go forward while at Goodison. We can't afford to be blindly sentimental anymore. We as fans deserve better. We deserve to see the club compete at the highest level and that will never happen without our new home. It might take a while, and some fans might never accept it, but the time is right for change.

We played an already relegated Southampton in the last Goodison game of the season in 1973-74.

We got beat 0-3…Everton that!

My sentimentality disappears every time I go into the Upper Gwladys toilets!

My first season with a season ticket,we beat Man U 1-0 in the midweek before this one which pretty much relegated them👍
