Blimey, this decision is taking a bloody age. The touch judge is less than a metre away.
As opposed to the embarrassing Warrington troglodytes singing the first part of St Helens so that it rhymed with ’whit’ all round St Helens town, totally wasted and threatening young kids, after losing, well, what? 25 in a row? All the while having a trophy cabinet as empty as Buxton town centre. The Saints fans didn't fail to give us a laugh last night. They started with their "Wanky Wanky Warrington" chants before kick off and were still at it in town after the final whistle. No self awareness of how bad their team is, having lost 7 in a row to the Wire.
The pedantry of video reffing is a real oy killer, I can't stand the use of video refs in any sports though I know thats a minority position, but you can't tell me it was brought in to check minor nonsense about 6 passes before a try. Just chuck it out, the onfoeld refs are good and if they make an error tough luck, train harder to prevent the ball getting there in the first placeI see that Peet commented on the stop start nature of games, saying that he doubts any of the players would be tired. When literally every try goes upstairs to be checked, it's giving players so much rest. I think the first half yesterday took around an hour to complete. You wouldn't mind if the video ref was used for clearly contentious issues, but the Nsemba decision was crazy, and I've lost count of decisions that go upstairs despite either ref or touch judge being literally on the spot. They're covering their backsides and slowing the game down a huge amount.
It's the same with the crazy habit of players slipping into the tackler and the tackler being binned for a high tackle. The video ref always slows it right down. What on earth is the defender supposed to do? It can't carry on like it is as it's killing the spectacle. The pedantry of video reffing is a real oy killer, I can't stand the use of video refs in any sports though I know thats a minority position, but you can't tell me it was brought in to check minor nonsense about 6 passes before a try. It's out of control over here, we had a player penalised and put on report for an accidental head clash a few weeks agoIt's the same with the crazy habit of players slipping into the tackler and the tackler being binned for a high tackle. I'm a Warrington man I thought that should have been cleared up as obvious mitigation in one viewIt's the same with the crazy habit of players slipping into the tackler and the tackler being binned for a high tackle.
