He’s a “good” player in an average team.

Isn’t involved enough though and holds onto the ball too long at times

Should be a squad player rather than someone we hang our hat on.

He combined well with Alcaraz in both halves (McNeil 1st half) and is double marked on the left which i assume gave Mykolenko more space but hes not an attacking threat.

I think hes perfectly fine for the left sided role. Also think hes not fully fit or out of form after his injury.

He had some decent touches which didnt quite come off.

More like Marseille level. He is out of form and never was a worldbeater. To lightweight for that and hasnt the technical ability to be a top player.

This is how it works. Lebron just churned out better numbers than Magic averaged for his whole career, and everyone blamed him for the series loss. Insanity, but people expect mortal lock Hall of Famers to put on a cape in a phone booth.

McNeil put 4 glorious crosses in today, comms and crowd going mad because no one gambled, our forward line had been slapped in the face with the chances made and no one took notice, not once, not twice, not thrice but quatro!

The players haven't been fit long enough to get any game time together. So we're still a work in progress, that's got 5 weeks left together as a squad?

That's why he cost £15m and not £50m. Still, he's a joy to watch and can be fantastic when he's on form, I think he performs better out-wide. For a debut season, he's done more than fine.
