If you’re an athlete and all you do is train but don’t see match time, it’s important especially as a fan to give that strong consideration when they do see the pitch. They’re rusty and game speed is different. It takes time to get into a groove.

Patterson isn’t the greatest but he has hardly been given any real solid run of matches and significant time on the pitch to fairly judge him.

I wonder if you add up all the time he’s played and divide by 90’, you’d see just how few total matches he’s played than 49.

In 2 years, Dyche gave him the equivalent of less than 20 full games. But some claim Dyche gave him a real chance :coffee:
