Of Patterson’s 49 matches, what’s the time on pitch average? It’s important. The last few seasons under Dyche has been entirely Keane. Patterson never got on the pitch. I always felt it was some grudge against Patto and/or a love fest with his Burnley boys.

If you’re an athlete and all you do is train but don’t see match time, it’s important especially as a fan to give that strong consideration when they do see the pitch. They’re rusty and game speed is different. It takes time to get into a groove.

Patterson isn’t the greatest but he has hardly been given any real solid run of matches and significant time on the pitch to fairly judge him.

I wonder if you add up all the time he’s played and divide by 90’, you’d see just how few total matches he’s played than 49.

Who from Dyches Burnley team got in over ‘Patto’? I don’t believe Keane ever played over him at full back
