Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

Just a note on the United game last night..

I'm equally impressed as I am baffled that TNT basically stuck two fingers up to Ofcom by including Ferdinand & Savage in their coverage again after last time  they were arguably just as bad last night as well. Ferdinand is massively biased in his comms as we know, but Savage is just straight up terrible at his job...

Also also - it would be peak jammy of the highest order if United were to still end up with a pot and Champions League qualification after the absolute dogs dinner of a domestic season they've had...

United's record in this season's EL competition has been fantastic though. 9 wins and 4 draws and 0 losses - and many of the wins convincing ones.

If you're a United fan you maybe step back and see beyond the inconsistent PL form - it's a freak season IMO and wont be repeated.

A trophy in the cabinet can be a boost to the confidence of players and I think they might use it to get back into the elite again.
Not really matey, 6th and 8th prior to this season, they are on a downward spiral, but winning the EL will probably put them back on track sadly.

This thread is amusing. Spurs and or Man U don't deserve to be in the EL final (should they get there) because they of their respective league positions.

I'm sure of one of those teams were EFC where would be a different point of view.

Still, fingers crossed we finish the job and beat Man U for a 4th time this season.

They both deserve to be there, same in any cup competition. Think the point a few are making is, they are two poor teams where one of them can end up in the CL next season. Thats the rules set at the start of the season which is fair enough, no problem with that.

Only reason I'd prefer spurs to win....

Utd win they get champions league football despite being godawful in the league...

It gives them the revenue excuse to try and spend their way out of obscurity...

Spurs win they might just keep the aussie kopite which would be better for us as he's clearly been found out in the league
Even if Spurs win it and get Champions League I think this guy is on his way out.
