New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Can't see this being true. Peel are on with the new park at Central Docks and have received a £53m grant from Homes England to deliver this and the associated infrastructure to support 2,350 new homes.

There will be plenty of plots within that area up for grabs but fully expect TFG to be looking at Nelson Dock and maybe Collingwood Dock to develop something around the stadium. Plenty of land available there.
Also, can't see the bit about boats being true either unless it's for very small craft e.g. canal boats. There's no way of getting anything bigger into that part of the dock system. There's certainly no access in from the Mersey unless they refurbish/rebuild Salisbury Dock Locks. They'd also have to replace/ remove the bridge that blocks access into Nelson Dock. All seems very unlikely.

I have heard rumour after rumour. There’s going to be ferry terminals, shops, a basketball stadium, a hotel. Maybe would should of turned the pump house into a little boutique hotel, that would of been good.

I’m more concerned at the moment with the lack of anything on the site. Since the stadium has been done and Moshiri has left it seems like nothing is happening. The shop still isn’t kitted out, there’s no Everton signs around, no banners or flags, I get all these things may come but we are leaving it late.

What about these statues aswell? The place now just looks unfinished in my opinion.

The shop being near empty at this time of year is normal for us.

if it still looks like that on the opening day, then maybe I’ll be a little concerned. Until then, it’s still a work in progress and I don’t be losing sleep over it.

Collingwood dock is used by Liverpool canoe/kayak polo club which supplies 3/4 of the mens and womens GB team and also houses the Docklands heritage trail so they'll have to get them a new home.
The canoe club have just signed a 5 year lease with Peel holdings too.

There's also that Howard Kendal Suite that has signed a 5 year lease with Peel, albeit those timescales would work fine as it will be a while before anything gets through preliminary design, planning and then to site.

I expect TFG's interest will be focused on the below, some of which arguably forms part of Collingwood Dock. Given they are rumoured to be looking at a Sports Led development then they may be interested in all of Collingwood Dock and doing something with/ for the Canoe Club...who knows šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

It literally takes like 24 hours to kit a shop out, we’ve got 4 months.

There’s a very good reason that it looks unfinished, and that’s chiefly because it is unfinished.

The hospitality areas are still just plaster board. I don't know how long it will take to get them fitted out but they're still very bare. They've done the visible areas such as the entrance and escalators etc. I thought the designs and decor would have been decided a long time ago as they told the ticket's for those places.

No idea if the change in ownership has resulted in changes or other reasons for the delays.

Speaking of every stadium looking the same, can we really not install unique goal posts and nets like clubs used to have in the 80s? These PL-approved carbon copy goal sets are appallingly generic. Even a different net-elevation system would add a touch of character.
Surely we can have some blue in the nets at least.

The old soft nets with stancheon bar were the best….

I miss stanchions 😢

Those stanchion moments aside, for me, this is one of those things that is better about the modern game.

I love the cuboid net space we have now - especially when a ball hits the inside of the side netting, rolls smoothly into and along the back panel of the net then - ideally - trickles back out into the field of play again.
