Gone, but not forgotten by some.

Did they have photoshop in 1945? That picture looks very AI created... also the caption below is odd, "Adolf Hitler at his height" - he is just standing there - anyone can do that. The picture hardly displays his might!

Today, May Day or the International Workers Day was an important date in the communist world. And over two days in May 1917, it was marked vividly on the streets of Liverpool, England. The city of Liverpool witnessed an event that was described at the time as 'probably unique in the history of the country.'
During the ongoing Russian revolution of 1917, a Russian warship was moored in the River Mersey. On Tuesday 1st May 1917, May Day, one hundred and fifty sailors from the ship, in full uniform and marching behind a red flag - made their way to the Edge Hill branch office of the Independent Labour Party.
On Sunday 6th May 1917, the Russian sailors repeated their march through Liverpool. They again marched to the Edge Hill branch office of the ILP.
After a meeting, the Russians were given cups of tea(!) They then assembled on the corner of Beaumont Street - were a number of revolutionary songs were sung, including 'The Red Flag' ;The International' and 'Hymn to the Martyrs of Russian Freedom.'

Conception or the day she was born

….very much the day she was born, Joey. More specifically, 1st May ‘85 which didn’t stop me going missing a few days later, jumping in a mini-bus to take in the Rotterdam and Wembley finals and not seeing my newborn for a week.

Her Mum does remind her of that fact but it never did her any harm, she’s now a Consultant Surgeon at the hospital she was born in ;)
