Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

Somebody explain to me why all the ex-pro pundits are saying that goal wasn't Rice's fault, when in my view it was clearly down to a bad decision he made. Is it just them protecting him because he's on a pedestal?
Were the pundits English? English pundits are notoriously biased in favour of English internationals. Rarely will they ever criticise them due to biase or being afraid to criticise. Pundits these days will hardly ever make any controversial comments or get into heated debates so they don't risk their punditry jobs. Reason why I don't bother watching pre, half time and post match analysis anymore. Boring analysis by boring people. No characters anymore

I think you nailed it.

Nothingvagsibst Rice, he's a decent solid player- but anyone can make an error, like he did. Why not just say it? In fact, if we can sell see it and pundits don't dare say, then why bother with the pundits?

Half the seats were empty with 5 mins left. Laughable. You’d think they get to this stage every year.

From 3 minutes into the game they deserted their own team.

Their own players and manager were having to try and rouse them with hand signals telling them to liven up. They didn't though, they just sat there.

I think this is an issue everywhere, too many spectators and not enough actual hard core fans who create the atmosphere.

Its all driven by greed from these owners who just want any arse on the seat as long as they get top whack for their tickets.
