New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Looked a lot posher from the aerial shots they show on televised games, of course they can move the less nice bits out of the frame.

The rest of what I said stands, Spurs wouldn’t have accepted Everton’s stadium even though it’s very nice.
Have you been to their ground?

It's not a case of "less nice bits", the whole area around their ground is a dump, one of the worst in the country. Fulham and Chelsea are the London grounds where the surrounding area is on a different level wealth wise to the rest of the country.

The area around BMD needs regeneration too, but with it's location on the waterfront, we have the possibility to make our location vastly superior to Spurs'. Their area doesn't have the potential ours does.

Is it that bad? Granted I've never been there, but it certainly doesn't look any worse than what's around Goodison, or indeed the new ground (albeit it ought to be in much better shape in years to come). Around their ground looks absolutely fine to me.

My ITK’s saying there’s no concerns they’re aware of and he’s on site the end of September.

Only headaches still the getting people away after the game through one major entrance onto regent road. Especially night games and both sets of fans are coming out together.

They’re estimating costs at £750m now which can still rise by the time it’s finished but as far as they’re concerned, everything’s all’s systems go.
I knew I should have put those 6 numbers on that week

The stadium location is very important. Look at how this new Everton stadium will be presented by the cameras to the watching world.

It's why comparison's between Spurs and Everton stadiums are a bit iffy.

Spurs stadium will have it over Everton in terms of facilities in fan areas inside the stadium, but the look of a stadium from the terraces it appears that Everton have it over them on that score. But most of all the backdrop we have boosts Everton stadium way beyond what the new WHL can offer...and probably all other clubs in Britain. The importance of that will become abundantly clear once we have PL games held there and the Sky/TNT lot start projecting that into people's homes globally.

Well spotted on the edit Dave, was just about to suggest we should have built it on the Shiel road if thats what we wanted for the stadium.....

More shipping containers and tents???

To be fair whilst I agree these are a bit naff, they will only be temporary. I think the Collingwood Dock containers only have a 5 years licence from Peel, no idea about the tent but that land value will increase astronomically if TFG (and others) start developing around the ground. Someone will develop both those sites within the next 5-10 years i'm sure of it.

Assuming everything with Liverpool Waters and the Surrounding 10 Streets Area kicks on, that whole part of the city will be unrecognisable in 20-30 years time. Needs private investment though...and lots of it!

Whenever i've walked from Seven Sisters it just comes across as a run down area. You'd have to do the walk to know what I mean.

I'm only challenging it because Spurs area has never been described as rich in any way, just like many of the old school ground locations (Maine Road, Villa Park, Upton Park, Goodison etc). And obviously Spurs rebuilt theirs next to the site of the Old White Hart Lane so it is still in the heart of the old community.

I remember my first visit there in 2008 and there were pubs boarded up, Market Stalls and Fried Chicken Shops all down the main road. Similar vibe to Upton Park.

Reis is behind the new bowls for Everton and Roma.

I think this guy needs to maybe do a little more research.

Not only is it Meis, but he designed the previous Roma stadium proposal, not the current one.

Looks like he'll need to fix every version of this article he's proliferated.
