2024/25 David Moyes

You can’t keep picking donkeys and expect to oversee a transformational change.

I don’t want a short-term manager making long-term decisions.

For that reason, taxi in June. But make it a luxury one for a rescue job well done.
But he only has donkeys to pick from, let’s be realistic. Shall he knit a Messi?

He’s already transformed a dire squad bar a literal handful of players into something approaching half decent.

If you think David Moyes is a problem I would massively disagree with you.

I suppose these safe games now are a good opportunity for Moyes to really see who is and isn’t up to it.

We did a bit better in the second half with McNeil Harrison hopefully will be back with Leeds.

Honestly don't think McNeil is anywhere good enough either. He'll have moments because a lot of our play goes through him but it's the type of output you'd expect from the best attacking player in a team threatened by relegation. We've got to do better.

We are playing away at 4th in the table who have spent like a £1billion on their squad and arguably should be level based on 2nd half and have taken the game to them.

We gave Moyes a loan deal to try and fix the squad mid season. Honestly, short memories.
Bed wetter will wet the bed.
We have a poor team, we were in that game but as you said that Chelsea team out gun us in every position barr Pickford and branthwaite.
Had one half chance and one good chance to steal a point too

Stop showing respect to these sides. They aren't good and the way we started the game showed we overrated them

Mediocre set up against a mediocre team. I'm a Moyes fan but I don't like the way we've approached the last 2 games.

You say that based off the last 20 minutes or so when they got nervous and dropped off. If we'd taken the game to them early on we'd have been picked apart. They might be mediocre but we are worse.

He doesn’t have to pick Doucoure.

Moyes did his job this season, but he’s not the man for the future. The task has changed from rescue to rebuild. He’s a stop gap. The Friedkins will hopefully stamp their mark on the club on June 1.

To hell with it, I'm going to post what I did in the match thread in here too:

Moyes back to doing the things that frustrated me so much in his first spell. Favouring utter crap which breeds negativity. I think Doucoure is going to end up playing every minute he is here under Moyes, which I have a sickening feeling will not end at the end of this season.

We couldn't get on the ball and create, so he takes off one of our only two players who can (because he couldn't get into the game) to replace him with the only other one. Done, just so we can keep Doucoure in place. A really top manager would have got them both on the pitch. He keeps playing Alcaraz out of position to accommodate Doucoure, and yet still isn't sure of him apparently, even though he still ends up being our best player when out of position.

Keeps bringing McNeil on the right, yet doesn't like his players shooting from distance - which is the only thing McNeil can do when played on that side. We only started playing a couple of balls down the side once he took Beto off.

He's done well overall since he's come back, but let's be fair, the last few games have been an utter shambles, just to accommodate Doucoure. Last game he was on about bringing Keane on because he doesn’t want to mess up too many positions, but is happy to do it and put everyone else out of position to accommodate the world's worst CAM.

I'm looking forward to DCL coming back so Moyes can select the only attacking line up in world football who are in the side on the strength of defensive contributions and not attacking prowess - DCL, Doucoure, Harrison and McNeil. And that will happen despite the fact DCL is leaving.

Absolutely fuming at the state of that. I'm back to not enjoying watching us play again. What I wouldn't give to be treated to an extended display of good attacking football for once 🙈
