...and if anyone says they understand that and "aren't arsed about it" then they accept that we are less of a club than Roma and deserve no attention at all.

If that's the case then I would suggest they need to examine their own motivation in supporting Everton.

Spend time in Liverpool or London,it'd be London. Liverpool or Rome,it'll be Rome. They hired Moyse to keep us in the Prem so probably didn't want to be looking over his shoulder, meanwhile Roma are going for a European place.

It's not a huge deal either way but it is symbolic to a degree. The last game at Goodison and the first at Everton stadium are huge, monumental events in the clubs history, and I'd just expect the owner to make time to attend at least one of them. It's a statement that this matters, that it's important, in the same way people show up for things all the time.

I just have a hunch that he'll attend the first game at Everton stadium but not at Goodison. That's fine, and I would get that. For him, that would be the "new" Everton under his ownership and not the "old" mediocre and struggling Everton. But he should show his face wherever it is, sooner or later.

Yeah I'd agree with this. It doesn't bother me in the slightest whether the owner is a regular presence at games, but I do think there's a minimum level of attachment that you expect from someone, and turning up to a game within 6 months of taking over is pretty much it.
 
The fact they don't turn up isn't an issue... the issue is surely they turn up to watch their primary asset and not us.... doesn't bold well imo.

They will get a pass for now as things aren't going bad, the moment they do their lack of appearance will become a huge issue.
 

They can’t win in all likelihood. I think they’ve been staying away to let Moyes do his job, focus on the football and not distract or add to the relegation threat. In simple terms let the club day to day focus on the football

You can’t deny their work in the background though. Decisive management changes and structures, debt refinancing getting rid of payday loans that have murdered us financially, getting the stadium fit out funded and then underway and now bringing in new investors. Lobbying government for a bit of help on Nelson Dock as you can see what their play is

Make no mistake unlike Moshiri these are serious business operators and we are the jewel in their crown.
