I'm not going to blame Michael Keane for the defeat. It was an unfortunate turn of events with James Tarkowski getting injured when we pretty much had things under control, then Michael Keane comes on lacking match fitness against one of the top teams in the Premier League, gets booked almost straight away and finds himself being turned inside out pretty much every time Man City attacked.

The problem now is, how long will James Tarkowski be out? Will Michael Keane start or will Ashley Young come in as Right-Back and Jake O'Brien moved to Centre-Back? Stay tuned and find out.

The new owners better cough up some money for a striker this summer, or next season is going to be another frustrating one. We had absolutely no threat up there today with Broja. And as much as I like Beto, he's not the answer either.

Really enjoyed watching Mykolenko and Garner today, thought they were really good. The rest of the defence likewise, at least until the injury. O'Brien blocking that shot with his head in the first half was mental.

Edit: Also thought Jack Harrison looked like Zidane in the first half.

A very frustrating finish to the game which flattered them immensely but we have scored a few late goals recently so I guess you have to take it when it goes against you but my god they got away with everything.

Tarkowski hit the post and the ball bounces clear
No penalty for handball especially when you consider what Foden got one for in this fixture once let alone the Rodri debacle.
Doku runs the ball out of play by at least a yard and then gets a corner.
No bookings at all which was outrageous when you see Silva on Branthwaite and Savinho blatantly diving for a penalty.
Their second goal coming from a guy who slips and kicks the ball off his own man.

Sorry but I have to disagree with you. I've watched Michael Keane long enough to know that today was nothing to do with match fitness nor the quality of the opposition. He's shot in terms of being a defender with Everton (and probably any but promoted sides).

That said it's all about opinions.

Yeah, Myko MOM for me although I was dissapointed in him not doing better for the cross for the 1st goal. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh.

He has no awareness to danger, 1st goal the kid has run past him. No anticipation, lost a header to Marmoush who should have scored....

He is not PL level, he will never get half the wages we are paying him!

Taking off Gana while Keane is on the pitch? Surely he needs all the protection available.
