Underrated Pleasures

I love Mrs bluerobert to bits but once a year she goes to Trearddur Bay for a week with her entire family. About 40 of them, I head down the final weekend to have a round of golf with her uncle and brother but from the Saturday she leaves to the Saturday morning I head down it’s the greatest present she could ever give me. I book the week off work spend every day walking the dog in the morning, playing golf in the afternoon, making anything that takes my fancy to eat. Usually I’ll make things she isn’t a fan of like Tonkotsu ramen or Chinese bbq. I’ll take the dog to Crosby beach first day she’s gone so I go past that Chinese supermarket facing Bramley Moore and stock up for all the obscure things I’m going to eat over the week. It’s true bliss

This is the winner.

The simple pleasures of solitude and pleasing yourself.

I’ve got the opposite of this at the mo, as the missus had a load of leave to end up before April and took a week off out of the blue and is “ finding me things to do “ 😂

You must be minted if you can afford a week in Trearddur Bay 😂

Sundays are great for me… Mrs k works every Sunday 8am-4.30pm…. I wake up when I want, usually with a slight hangover, have a bit of a laze around the house or get my bike out or go for a long walk…. Basically do whatever I choose to do for a blissful 8 and a half hours once a week…. Then at 4.45pm I take the 3 minute walk to to the monster in laws to meet Mrs k and scoff a full roast dinner her mum lovingly prepares for us every week…. Then it’s home and lay on the sofa watching crap tv until bedtime. Love my Sundays.

This is what Sundays used to be like before retail parks and when the shops were`t allowed to open on Sunday ( showing my age )

Sundays were all about pleasing yourself.

You`d also see about six cars on the road all day, as no one was going anywhere
