The fraud who got us back into Europe finishing 7th in his first season - Fact.

He was sacked after only winning 2 in 9, the trigger was pulled too quickly. Yes Allardyce took over and we finished 8th, with the players Koeman bought.

He also finished 6th and 7th with Southampton prior to joining Everton - Fact.

This is when our problems started, when we started sacking managers so frivolously.
That's considered an achievement by @davek and the other Dyche enthusiasts on here.

Actually, the trouble really started when Moshiri couldn't or wouldn't rid himself of Kenwright. Koeman was never making a fist of Everton once Lukaku was sold out from under him. Of course, Blue Bill "brought a blue home" with Rooney as a cynical way to placate the fanbase. But the jig was up once Lukaku was sold with no real replacement bought.

I never rated Koeman - but ownership is more important than management when it comes to the success of football clubs. If you have the right ownership, you tend to get the right management. We haven't had the right ownership since Sir John Moores lost interest...

If you ever find yourself typing 'it's not often I agree with davek' then you need to re-evaluate your position on that particular matter. It's also probably worth having a think about some of your other life choices as well.

Not really. The PSR issues will effectively be resolved by the summer - and our new owners are properly rich, unlike the accountant who was dependent on dubious oligarch money to keep the lights on.

All money helps - but the point I am making is an extra few million for a higher finish in the table is not something that is essential to the new owners: avoiding relegation is. So, 17th is the baseline. Anything else is nice.
Yes long term strategy, it pales in comparison but £10m is £10m, so whilst I’m not suggesting we would finish 11th, every improved place from where we are now is important. We can be safe and earn more money.

assess what? let’s go again lads with sean and achieve staying up every season

we’ve spent millions to only want to do this

ok mikey 🙄
Makes no difference to the new owners if we finished 7th or 17th as long we remain a Premier League club. If they wanted to replace him they'd of done it already. Not saying he'll get a new contract but it's not 100% that he won't as some seen to think.

Not often I agree with Davek… I can imagine when they take 5 minutes off hating every player, thelwell and Dyche, they are totally believing the Farage is the only politician they can trust…

Wanting to sack Dyche in middle of a crisis without recognising the crisis whilst at the same time being upset by the issues of the crisis, yet not having a plan about how to deal with the crisis… or putting a single incoherent argument together… top brexits
coherent

They play turgid football, barely scores any goals and has zero interest in playing youth players that could help the club and maybe even make some money off them down the road. We keep staying up not because He’s a great coach who’s techniques improve the team, but because we keep riding our luck that there’s still three worse teams than us. One day that’s not going to be the case.

TFG sacked a manager at Roma just because he had a bad month so there’s precedent he’s not coming back if results dip in the slightest. These guys are not Bill so there not going be happy with just making up the numbers. Not to mention they will want their own man in charge. All new owners do.

He’s not coming back. Nothing about his record screams of a man that deserves more time. Nothing. Any other club, he would have been fired by now.

As a fanbase we turned very quickly on him two months into the new season.

WE expected more due to the money spent (£218 million)
WE hated Koeman's personality.

So when it went wrong, we didn't waste time making it well known. Spend all that money, lost Lukaku and Barkley, and were leaking goals like a siv.

Koeman’s attitude was that he thought he was better than Everton, I think we sussed that from the beginning.
Red Christmas tree etc, he thought he was above us.

Ancellotti was more humble and that’s why he’s more respected.

Next manager needs to read those lessons and understand the club and how to operate with our fan base.

Koeman was also on holiday when he joined us and I’m sure the club went out to interview him, he then was at finch farm a few weeks later and off on holiday again the following week.

Defending Koeman? Christ, along with Moshiri he’s probably the main reason we’re in this mess.

The reason he was fired early is because that team and group of players were hurtling to relegation and even the idiot Moshiri could see it. It was one of the worst teams I’ve ever seen and even after Allardyce rebalanced it with some common sense it was still dreadful. You think the football is bad now, I remember us scoring first against Arsenal at Goodison under Koeman and every single person in the ground knew we’d still get battered because we were an utter shambles.

Then the derby under Allardyce where I think we crossed the halfway line once when Rooney punted it to DCL and we got that pen. There was a Chelsea game as well where I don’t think Mina even got off the goal line the whole game.

Short memories. Koeman assembled Keane Williams Martina Schneiderlin Klaasen Sandro Siggurdson Rooney for over 100 million. Not to mention the money on Bolasie before he was crocked.

The only decent thing he did was buy Pickford.
