I`m not sure PL rules will allow the same ownership for 2 clubs in the same league, also I`d worry about motives of an owner buying both clubs in the same city...

That's why they'd need to sell their stake in Liverpool.

Perhaps some fans would fuss because of the link between the two clubs, but it's not the same situation like Benitez. And frankly beggars can't be choosers.

One way or another Everton would pay that loan back.

Looks like Steinbrenner is minority shareholder at New York City, owned by The City Group and investor in RedBird Capital who are part of FSG... Personal wealth of $3.2bn....

I still don`t think it is true but would be better than 777.
