6 + 2 Point Deductions

The only statement we should be making is we’ll see the PL in court. Absolute disgrace, all this bollocks that we’ve been told that if we keep quiet we’ll get an easy ride is also bollocks. Based on this ruling we should have been docked 2 points at most. We’ll get another 6 on the next charge. I refuse to help or get involved with anything/anyone that refuses to be helped, and I’m sorry Everton your lack of action or fight or standing up for the fans goes against my values. I’m done I think

He obviously has some kind of agenda against the club which is a shame as he is generally alright, even though he clearly thinks he is better than he is. He is a very good communicator and he is very articulate which is not often the case in the sport/football business.
He was very friendly with BK and he doesn't like the fact that fans blame/have a go at BK all the time and not Moshiri. What he fails to understand is that most fans issues with BK stem from long before Moshiri ever became involved, they are a long standing thing. He also doesn't quite understand how complex the off field setup has been at times, certainly in terms of stuff like transfers with seemingly 3-4 people needing to sign off and scrutinize everything at times.

Where do you even start with this? Farce isn’t a strong enough word to cover it.

The lack of any framework has led to gaping inconsistencies which (from a complete layman’s POV) surely would be dismissed out of a 'real' court before you could say P&S.

Will be interesting to see what (if any) fall out comes from this over the next week or so. Wouldn’t surprise me if Everton's lawyers are advising we keep our heads down until the second hearing.

If we get even a single point deducted in the next hearing we’ve got to go at them kicking and screaming. It’s a disgrace.
Ive honestly spent the last few hours laughing my arse every time I think about it, im smiling as I write this.

Its just, I dunno, amusing currently, I dunno why I find it so funny.

What a complete and utter joke from the panel. :red:

Forest showed "exceptional co-operation." Yeah so much so they just refused to sell a player for two months to actually comply with elements of FFP!!!

Complete bottlejob this considering they were going to hand them an eight point deduction seemingly.

I'm done with this season I'm afraid.
Also was there anything in the rules about cooperation? That’s not the same thing as mitigation, but it looks as though they are conflating the two.

I joked about this before, but the more I see the more I'm convinced this is how they determine these deductions...

So a club that hasn’t been in the top division for quarter of a century has been punished for overspending by £95m, whilst everybody else can overspend by £105m with no problems? Almost as if it’s designed to stop promoted clubs competing…
I seem to remember that when we got done Forest fans, amongst many others, said 'but rules are rules and you've breached them'. You probably thought 10 points was fair. Now you've broken the rules, you're whinging about getting 4 points. Sod off, scab.

It would need to be even more than that to breach after deductions and a lot more for a “significant breach”. I’m hoping this time it’s more a case of slipping just over than another big breach because a big breach should have been avoided. We made no obvious effort to sell players before the deadline and if we knew we were in for another big breach why didn’t we?
It’s crazy. The 22/23 accounting period was closed before we found out (for definite) all of our mitigations had been rejected. So too late to avoid this second breach.

The worry is that the club, and most of football, were expecting fines, transfer bans or at absolute worst a suspended points deduction. Maybe they were stupid enough to think we’d just get told off twice and pay the fines and it would go away.

Mosh obviously answers to no-one, but there was a CFO (as in, you know, the massively paid director in charge of all financial and regulatory matters) who has escaped all criticism, who was in place as the club drifted toward the abyss. Absolutely no surprise at all if they didn’t even notice the finances and particularly wage structure was heading inevitably to 2 or more successive breaches.

I heard Simon Jordan before saying he feels sorry for Forest and that where do you draw the line, as an example he said if you are owned by a billionaire then really you could argue you have the money and therefore there club would never fold.

When he has spoken about Everton, I listen all the time, he has said ‘they broke the rules’, ‘the hid money during covid’ stuff like that. It’s mad how one person can just talk absolute wham and get away with it.

He said the same about Everton at first. Then changed his tune when it become popular to defend Everton. He'll be slaughtering forest if they start getting a popular response. He's nothing but a shock jock who gets a hard on if his name is trending on social media. Thats all he is.

I kinda know what you mean, when I heard it this afternoon I just shrugged my shoulders, I'm not that arsed tbh. Talk of lengthy court cases is just insane imo as anything like that would cost a small fortune and possibly take ages. I'd rather we just got back to trying to find a way to pickup points and win games tbh.

What’s the point anymore, the big 6 get to sign cheaper players from clubs trying to balance the books, whilst getting stronger squads in the meantime, the rest of us just keep feeding them players over and over and float around the premier league positions not having any chance whatsoever of really competing. The premier league has killed what was once a beautiful game. Maybe would have been better if the 6 did feck off and join the super league.

There's a very simple thing our football club need to do.

Ask for the explicit points breakdown for our first charge like is on the final pages of Nottingham Forests. The calculation will not stack up and be clear to see discrepancy between the two processes. You don't even need to be a lawyer or have expertise.

Break down our 6 points and compare it to the Forest verdict.
Not sure it would be too difficult.
3 points for a breach.
3 points for a significant breach.
2 points not given back because we are not Tory scabs.
