Relegation 23/24 Thread

I don’t want to alarm anyone, but it looks like Luton have worked out that sitting back and trying to nick 1-0 wins from set pieces isn’t the best way to stay in this division in 2024.
Said this a while ago. Prem has changed since 10 years ago. You simply can’t defend all game and hope to nic a goal and get a 1-0 win. Players now score goals out of nothing.

The league is more technical than ever, with very technically and tactically aware managers. The stats back this up. The number of goals scored season on season is going up.

You hardly see any 0-0 games and not many
1-0 games either.

It’s simply attack and our score your opponent. Luton tried to sit back approach at the start of the season and got slapped every game. Now they are going for it and scoring at least two goals a game.

Our manger has no adaptability and still sets up not to get beat. This tactic died years ago.

If we won't lay a glove on Bournemouth or turn up at Luton, we have nothing to fear or complain about. We will simply have found our level. At some point a football team has to prove it's worth top flight status. I have nothing but contempt for our self-pitying, mentally-fragile wallflowers. Luton are crap but full of fight and pluck. Us? Afraid we might score.

Said it before but that Ogbene was a free agent in the summer. Bags of pace, threat, can dribble and can score. Had Thelwell even heard of him? We signed a 38 year old Ashley Young and some people in our fanbase were defending it LOL
Too good for us, his profile doesn’t match. We’re like an ugly bird on a dating app.
