January transfer window 2024

Last 12months of his deal, wanted to leave. Paid Henderson a million a week.

It's January. 18 months left. Dont want to sell. Price should be minimum £30mill
The issue is fans think (and to be fair he is) He’s a huge part of us winning games…
… Gomes has scored 2 in under 3 games worth of minutes in the same position though…

And £30m puts us under FFP…

Would we switch to 4-4-effing 2?

But it’s putting a lot on the line… staying up is paramount… but would the IC see we sold a player for 30m (high wage too) and say ‘they did enough to avoid any further sanctions’

All down to Dyche. There's no board and owner really unless someone has the weight to sell him under the gaffers nose.

I think £20-30mill helps us out for the future. Everything else can be figured out

Could also be in a better position to ask for the highest price for Branthwaite and/or Onana rather than needing the money.

Agree, 10-15m max they’ll offer.

He’s worth more than that to us because he perfectly fits our system. But on the open market he really isn’t. So in all likelihood this’ll go nowhere.
It honestly depends on the player.

If he fancies the move, we will dig a bit deeper and I could see them pushing to 20m.

So its up to the player really.

We of course wont want to see him go, but hes out for a few weeks and the club MIGHT see the benefit of using the money to pay for a loan or 2 to replace him.

Not suggesting thats a good idea, just spit balling.

Yeah think he only goes if he really pushes for it and can’t see it from Doucoure, he’s clearly very into life at Everton and will want to dig us out again.

Maybe one all parties might be better discussing in the summer.
