Thanks for this. I can see the wee green tabs but can't get near them. The silver metal bit is rock solid and won't budge. I can manually slide the "claw" but forward (with difficulty but the other bit won't budge an inch.

I`ve got a T5.1 mate, go onto the various Transporter forums, you`ll 100% find the answer there mate. Mine`s the legendary pain in the ass weird and wonderful cog driven engine and I`ve been able to find out how to fix even the most obscure...

Best off trying specialist vw forums, someone there will definitely know and help.
