Whatever the cause, thoughts and prayers to everyone affected who set out today to take part in a celebration. Madness that it should end like this.

A lot gets said on here about that lot and their fandom but the reality for most of us is that we’ll have friends and/or family in that crowd. Sickening stuff. Hope the fella gets the book thrown at him (and mercilessly beaten in nick, obvs).

Obviously need to be confirmed but people have mentioned there is a video of an argument beforehand so it could stem from that. What makes a person want to drive into a crowd that could have kids and other innocent bystanders in I can't even wrap...

I hesitate from saying terror, lads. It can be anything from a drunken idiot having one too many on his bank holiday day off, getting behind the wheel when he shouldn't have and losing control of the car, to someone having a medical episode like...

Hope everyone pulls through. It just seems you can't have a crowd of people nowadays as it's too easy for someone to make a name for themselves. We need pop up barriers on the perimeter roads to stop vehicles and create a safe zone for gatherings.

Had my wife and daughter out watching the parade, luckily they were on West Derby Road. But I feel sick because we'll all have wives or husbands or kids or family who support Liverpool and regardless of football rivalries, there's bloody kids...

Hoping for the best possible outcome for those hurt in the incident.
