Unfortunately, that was never going to be acceptable to the board. Not sure why anyone is remotely surprised at the decision.
He was lucky to still have the job by now. In the end, his stubbornness of keeping his style cost him the job. Even with a really bad injury crisis, he should get that squad top half at least.
Ange made that team as bad as it could possibly be. They got an easy ride through Europa (really easy at the end) and you could argue he was one of the causes of their injury crisis. Sacking him was a no-brainer.
Yeah, he did an excellent job with Atalanta. So did Ranieri for Roma..big shoes to fill on both sides.
Might be good for us too as he has a reputation for being quite spiky with players. If he falls out with anyone we could get a cheap deal.
I actually respect them for making the right decision. It would have been easy for a long-awaited pot to paper over the massive cracks that were evident in every other competition, but they were ruthless and made the call.
They were so abjectly...
He was a poor appointment and they have been terrible, spending that much dough to finish 17th is laughable, scruffed their way to a trophy but they get relegated in a more competitive league
